Job summary

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited currently has an opening for the position of “Chef (Indian)” and accepting applications from now until July 1, 2024 The chef’s main responsibility include delivering design solutions for the assigned projects with efficiency in the mutually agreed time frame.

Job descriptions

  • Be responsible for experimenting new product/menu innovations, menu development, assessment and culinary training.
  • Ensure quality preparation, proper handling and storage of the food to be in line with high standards as well as cost saving and control.
  • Coordinate with concerned functions, prepare and assist all kitchen duties including prepare dishes for daily menus and special events.
  • Create and innovate menus that align with customers’ concepts and budgets.
  • Ensure that the food is properly prepared in accordance with the recipes with qualities, quantities and specifications meeting customers’ requirements and minimizing wastes.
  • Apply knowledge and technologies of newly introduced products and creative recipes to working in a commercial scale.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Possess a professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang.

qualification

General Qualifications:
• Under 55 years of age on the date of application
• No restriction on nationality
• High school or diploma education or a certificate in related fields is required
• A minimum of 8-year experience in Indian food preparation or a professional culinary degree or an equivalent combination of culinary trainings
• A good command of English with test scores of TOEIC no less than 450 or THAI-TEP no less than 45 (valid for 2 years after the test date) and the score must be submitted before the application deadline. (May 29, 2024), In case no English proficiency test score is presented within the deadline, applicants must take the arranged THAI-TEP test to be eligible for the Practical Test as per the specified requirements.

Position Qualifications:
• Experience in working with international luxury hotels or being familiar with large-scale international food operation, local and abroad, with strong culinary skills and creativity
• Computer literacy
• Skills in the operations of a large-scale catering business
• The ability to communicate basic information and ideas in English. Skills in other languages will be an advantage.
• A good command of interpersonal and team-building skills.
• The ability to work with flexible schedules (a shift basis)

The term of Employment, Salary, and Benefits
The term of Employment
The term of employment will not exceed 30 months from the commencement date of the employment contract.

Salary and Benefits
The selected candidate will receive a salary according to the current payroll structure of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, and obtain benefits and welfare according to the company rules and regulations. The selected candidate shall be responsible for a personal income tax by granting consent to the company to withhold the tax under the Revenue Code of Thailand.
